August 26th will be the official kick off competition for the Formula Drift Pro-Am Series. DRIFT BATTLE is proud to host this event open to all amateur drivers. Any driver that is interested in testing their skills against some of the best amateur drivers is invited to participate. Spectators please review the spectator info found HERE. All spectators will be allowed to enter the venue at 11am. All spectators if entering the pit area will be required to sign the Altamont Motorsports Park waiver.
Drivers must mind the schedule! If you do not show up on time, you will not participate and not be given a refund. Drivers will be allowed one passenger and one pit vehicle/crew member (total of 2 passes per driver). Any additional person(s) entering the venue will pay for entrance to the event. Please stop at the ticket booth upon entering the pit area to sign the Altamont Motorsports Park waiver.
Due to safety regulations, there will be no tandem at this competition*. All drivers will be judged on an individual run basis. The judges will explain the scoring criteria during the drivers meeting. Please save your questions for them on event day.
All Local Drivers. There is a MANDATORY pre-tech required for all participants that live with in 20miles of the shops listed below. The pre-tech must be scheduled by appointment at the shops below, no other shops are allowed to perform this tech inspection. All inspections should be done no more than ONE WEEK before the event date. Anyone that does not cooperate with the pre-tech rule is subject to a $10 fee excersied on event day. Thank you for your cooperation. Note that it’s by appointment only. They have to call/emails.

7:30am – 9:30am Tech Inspection Open**
9:45am – 10:00am MANDITORY Driver’s Meeting***
10:30am – 1:30pm Open practice (Each group will get one hour of practice)
2pm Competition begins
9pm Competition ends/Awards presentation

The Rules and Regulations for this competition remain the same as those for our open practice events. This means that anyone can participate; race suits and 6pt SCCA approved roll cages will not be required****. For Official Formula Drift Pro-Am Series rules and regulations please visit their website at www.proamdrift.com.
*This may change at future Formula Drift Pro-Am competitions. Should a driver advance to the Regional/National finals, tandem competition may come into play.
** All drivers will be required to tech their vehicle. Tech will close promptly at 9:30am without exception and you will not receive a refund. So arrive on time and be ready.
*** BE ON TIME!!! If you do not attend the driver’s meeting or are late, you will not be able to participate in the competition and will not receive a refund.
**** Subject to change at future Formula Drift Pro-Am competitions. Should a driver advance to the Regional/National finals, a race suit and 6pt SCCA approved roll cage may be required.
When packing up to leave, please pick up after yourself. As you exit the venue, please be as quiet and courteous as possible. Doing so will ensure that all Drifting Organizations can host events at Altamont Motorsports Park.
