Greg Biffle will be competing in the “Mopar D1 Allstar Duel” on August 31st. For more information on that event see: http://www.kaseykahne.com/drift/
DL: Do you see yourself drifting beyond this event?
Absolutely. I don’t know if I will ever compete in a real D1 event but I will definitely do this for fun. I had a blast out there and I know I will be doing some drifting in my Ford GT. I will also come back to this event next year if Kasey does it again, which I am sure he will.
DL: Do you envision this becoming and annual event?
Yes, for sure. I want to be a part of this for many years to come.
DL: How do you think that your NASCAR skills will prepare you for drifting?
Well I actually think they hurt me some. In NASCAR you need to be very smooth and make small movements to correct your car. In drifting you throw it back and forth. I think the car control I have learned in my many years of stock car racing has been a huge benefit. It is completely unnatural to drift when you have been driving stock cars but it is really fun.

DL: What motivates you to give back by participating in this charity event?
As NASCAR drivers we always try to find any opportunity to give back through charitable organization. I feel that NASCAR drivers are some of the most generous athletes out there when it comes to charitable contributions. I was just excited to see that we could do something that was so cool and still raise a lot of money for chronically ill children.
DL: How do you feel that drifting will impact American motor sports over the next 5-10 years?
It is definitely on the rise and it is here to stay. The growth in the past 5 years has been tremendous and time will only tell on how big this motorsport can get.
DL: Can you turn right? :)
Yes.
DL: How did you discover organized drifting?
I saw it on TV and I always would stop to watch it because it looked so cool.

This guy seems cool…like his attitude toward our sport. Look forward to seeing him run!
