While browsing through myspace looking for drifters, I stumbled across a picture of Hiro Sumida’s Toyota in front of the judges stand at the 2005 D1GP ‘All Star’ after he narrowly avoided the same k-rail that later claimed Ken Noruma’s car. I quickly realized by seeing myself in the photo that I had quite a bit more video from that event that remains to be edited and uploaded and I became inspired. Since Hiro’s photo was the inspiration, this video of his qualifying runs will be the first that I pull up from the DriftLive archives.

Why are you waisting time with this picute. Hiro Sumida isnt even that good. What happend to those S15 plans. If he wants to show his full potential he will change cars yesterday! 308hp in a cresta is a joke for high speed courses. I am not sure about the torque numbers but who cares. How can he hold all these sponsors when he wins nothing!?Ever!

I can not believe this guy “Aaroyan”…he Obviously understands nothing about drifting… Hiro is amazing and people love him for his will and insanity… the fact that his car is underpowered makes him even more spectacular and honestly I am sick and tired of S chassis they are everywhere..
