With 19 cars participating, the big crowd pleaser at Long Beach was by far the Formula Drifting Challenge. Saturday and Sunday’s infield drifting spectacular saw Team USA beat out Team International. What made this event unique was the fact that fans sitting in the grandstands voted for their favorites via cell-phone. Now that’s a first in motorsports history!
It is nice to see more and more mainstream media giving Drifting the attention that those in the sport have know that it deserves.
