October 16, 2006 - The US Drift Association has released details for the Pro-Am National Championship Finals to be held in Laughlin, NV over the weekend of November 11th and 12th. The event will be held in conjunction with the Laughlin Motorsports Festival and International Rally. The nations top 48 amateur drifters from 4 regions will compete for the title of national champion. In addition, the top 3 podium finishers will be awarded a professional competition license from Formula Drift.

Formula D Pro-Am Nationals

In addition to the Pro-Am finals, there will be a Formula Drift licensing event where the drivers from the 2006 season with zero points or other drivers who have competed in a minimum of 4 previous Formula Drift events will need to renew their license to compete in the 2007 season. These drivers will go up against the top 16 Pro-Am drivers who will be looking for the opportunity to earn their professional license for the first time.

Spectators are welcome and tickets are $20 (Children 12 and under free with adult ticket purchase). For more information visit http://www.proamdrift.com/ or email info@proamdrift.com

The US Drift Association is a collaboration between the nation’s drift event organizers to help bring exposure to the world of regional and amateur events. Many of today’s professional drifters got their start by attending events that were held by these organizers and is the best outlet for tomorrow’s aspiring drifters looking to go pro.
