BILL SHERMAN TAKES THE WIN FOR ENJUKU RACING AT THE NOPI DRIFT EVENT IN DENVER

Orlando, Florida - June 24 - Fans of drifting came to the Mile High City to see some of the most talented drivers compete in the latest round of the NOPI Drift Series. Bill Sherman‚s #22 Enjuku Racing/Dual Audio/Cooper Tire Nissan 240sx drift car was the car to watch after placing 2nd at the last event in St. Louis. „Wild Bill,‰ as fans know him, would not disappoint the crowd as he blistered the field with an 88.5 point qualifying effort to capture the top spot and went on to win the overall event.

Enjuku Racing rolled into Coors Field in Denver, CO with great momentum from the last round of the NOPI Drift Series. The #22 Enjuku Racing/Dual Audio/Cooper Tire 240sx driven by Bill Sherman placed 2nd in St. Louis and was in top form for all of the practice sessions. Bill was named “Rookie of the Year” in 2006 by the Formula Drift Championship Series and is competing for the first year in the NOPI Drift Series. Bill commented, “It feels great to get the win for the team. We had a great qualifying run and got the top spot on Saturday then we had overcast skies for Sunday which gave us more grip,” said Sherman.

“We have this car really dialed in and the Cooper Tires really worked well and the Enjuku team is giving me a great car.”

Bill‚s teammate Robby Unser was unable to run the event due to the new engine program that Team Enjuku is developing for the next Formula D event. Instead, Robby served as Bill‚s Crew Chief and Driver Coach, helping elevate the team to its first win of the 2007 season. This win places Bill in the top spot in the Championship points race for the NOPI Drift Series.

The next drift event on the schedule for Team Enjuku Racing will be in Seattle, Washington with the Formula Drift Championship Series. This will be the second time Sherman has competed on this course and he stated, “I ran Seattle last year and I really liked it because it was a very fast course. I thought I did well, even though I just missed the top sixteen but I have a better car and team this year. I look forward to a great event.”

The Enjuku Racing drift team will compete at next round of the Formula D events on July 14 at Evergreen Speedway in Seattle, Washington with Robby Unser and Bill Sherman.
