When I heard Formula D was having a practice session in downtown Long Beach I used my highly developed ninja skills to take the bus down there with my video camera and get some guerilla style footage. I got an up close look at the Team Bergenholtz/A’PEXi RX-7, Team Snakebite’s S13, and Tony Angelo’s RX-8 which was given a severe facial moments before I got there. While Tony was taking one of the press reps on a ride along he stuffed the nose into a tire wall. I caught a glimpse of the DA support crew going over the damage. There is also a few practice runs with some interesting tandem combinations. Notice Dai’s clean entries and Rhys’ crazy speed.
