I spoke to Chris after and he told me he went with bigger angle and slower speed in the last corner because he had trouble out run me. It was just a surprise for me because he usually just tries to out run you with speed. This is no big deal and I am not pissed at him. I can’t wait to Atlanta. Sorry for any confusion. I was there and saw Sam kicking ass and Chris kicking ass. Sam was not giving his runs anymore then 7D%. I am sorry but that viper drives itself. Chris was driving the wheels off his car with angle and speed. For Sam to say on his “blog”…..

This statement should be between him and his team. Posting this online to make yourself look like a “victim” is lame. Everyone knows Sam is unstoppable in the viper and no one is taking that from him. That last run Chris nailed every clip with crazy ANGLE and you were to close with typical viper angle.

I was there too and I didn’t see anything that looked intentional. And isn’t it the chaser’s job to match the leader?

I dunno… I like Sam, but it just sounds like he’s whining a little.

I was there and Chris did not slow up any different then he was all weekend long. He ran properly ran the final hairpin tight so Sam couldnt get in the inside. Anyone who knows anything about Chris knows he would never play those games. No matter what Sam thinks… Its just simply not true…

Sam and Chris has an amazingly tight battle going for all 4 passes. When you get two competitive drivers in a situation like that, there is no way that both will leave happy.

I was not sitting in a position to know if Chris closed the door on Sam, or Sam nosed in on Chris, either way, it was a great start to a season that looks to have a tighter trophy race then last year.

I do know, however, that these guys are good at leaving their grudges out on the track, which should make for an exciting event next month in Atlanta.

The first event of the year is now over and I qualified number 1 in the morning. It was a full house at the Streets of Long Beach. And having all the support from Mopar and BFG was just outstanding. Mopar had the direct connection rig out there with engines on display. So we definitely had a great presence in the pit. After having to go one more time in the semi finally against Foust I moved on to meet up with Forsberg. There we had to go out for one more time too after some tight battling. In the last corner as I was following Forsberg he purposely slowed down and choked me so I had to ether hit him or the wall so I ended up touching the wall with my passenger side door. I am surprised he was using that type of tactics. Now I know and I will not forget. Over all we got a great start of the season to bring back the Championship. Drift Ya Later
