Drift Live photographer Alison Merion brings us photos from D1GP: Las Vegas. Alison braved the scorching 115 degree heat at the Los Vegas Motor Speedway to snap the fantastic pictures. Drifters from Japan and the United States went all out to make this an exciting event. Likewise, the fans they performed in front of didn’t let the heat stop them from enjoying the event, which included: drifting and drag racing, a first for a D1GP event.

‘Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift’ Demo

Visitor to Universal Studios Hollywood on June 4th, were treated to an unexpected gift: Live Drifting! In conjunction with the premiere of “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift”, top drifters performed a drifting demonstration on one of Universal’s back lots. Media guests, not detered by the scorching tempearatures of the day, were given ride alongs by Daijiro Yoshihara, Rhys Millen and Sam Hubinette.

In attendance at The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, were Pro Drifters: Alex Pfieffer, Daijiro Yoshira, Samuel Hubinette among others. Also in attendance were actors: Khleo Thomas (Holes, Various TV) and Rachel True (Half Baked, Groove) Musicians: MC Hammer and Slash and the films stars Lucas Black, Bow Wow and Nathalie Kelley.
