Contrary to the reports of the pro-Japanese import magazines, it would be only two years until an American driver, in an American car, would stand atop the podium with an undeniable victory over the “unbeatable� Japanese. Vaughn Gitten Jr. and his Ford Mustang made drifting history in December of 2005.
