Drift Ya Later DVD trailer

Newport Coast, Calif. - Two-time Formula Drift champion Samuel Hübinette is set to debut the trailer for his first-ever drifting DVD, “Drift Ya Later.” The trailer, premiering on Wednesday, Nov. 19 on www.streetfire.net and www.samuelhubinette.com, will give drifting fans a sneak peek at Hübinette’s amazing, action-packed DVD, scheduled for release in spring 2009.

The talents of the “Crazy Swede,” a working Hollywood stunt driver, are on full display in “Drift Ya Later.” Viewers will take a trip with Hübinette back to his roots in Jokkmokk, Sweden, where a young “Crazy Swede” learned to drift on ice lakes. The drifting superstar traveled with his cameras above the Arctic Circle to perform some sick ice drifting outside the famous Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärrvi, Sweden.

The DVD also features a behind-the-scenes, documentary-style peek at Hübinette at work with his Mopar NuFormz team at the 2008 Las Vegas Formula Drift event, where Sam scored a podium finish.

For fans harboring the desire to drift, “Drift Ya Later” will offer a crash course in the basics of drifting from the “Crazy Swede.” The nine-time Formula Drift event winner will guide viewers through five basic drifting steps-and also the not-so-basic, including his “signature” 360 drift turn.

Hübinette will also demonstrate why the nickname “Crazy Swede” is well-deserved. With precision driving and amazing skill, Hübinette performs insane, never-before-seen stunts. Using HUMAN clipping points, Hübinette puts on an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride with a variety of breathtaking drift maneuvers. Seriously, folks-DO NOT try this at home!

Back in the Saddle Rhys is Gonna Flip The Truck

Drifting as a sport may not have the highest profile in the world, but it is becoming know for having some of the most talented drivers. Rhys Millen is going to flip his truck out of 2008 and into 2009. While practicing the stunt last year, Rhys hit the takeoff ramp with a bit too much speed and ended up crashing. Looks like he is not going to let fear stop him from reaching his goals. He could easily sit on his laurels and ride his other successes, but Rhys appears to have remained hungry. My hats off to Rhys, it takes a lot of guts to get back up after being knocked down and attempt a stunt like this.

Texas builds a Nissan Bodied Corvette

In a drastic measure to save GM, the team behind the Corvette has started to throw 10 year old Nissan bodies on them. Rumor has it, this concept vehicle came out of the ALosey skunkworks in Texas. You can see in the video, the design team is still having traction and smoke issues, but I am sure they will fix that before the car goes into production.
