About $1600. Its 2"x .120" wall, and thats a little thicker than what the rule book calls for. Got it done at Craggars on 156st.

So... Pulled the Mark VIII motor out of the back of the truck to day and discovered a couple things just to start with.

First is the the block is cracked around a bolt hole where the transmission mounts up. This doesn't concern me a whole lot, as I have some welder buddies at work. Even if that doesn't come through, I've always got a couple tubes of JB weld handy.

The second discovery makes me feel like a tool. I've been reading all the time that GT Mustangs have 6 bolt cranks. This is wrong. Most if not all of the engines that came out of the Windsor plant had 8 bolt cranks. Would I be correct in saying that my old clutch will still work with a 6 bolt fly wheel?

On the plus side, It looks like with a few modifications, I should be able to run the Mark VIII motor with the stock ECM

You need to get a clutch for your specific flywheel. IIRC they went from a 10.5" clutch to 11" in '01. I put an 11" on mine cuz I got a free flywheel from an 03 GT which was a 6 bolt. Too bad about the broken tab for the bolt. You might be able to get some money back from the place you bought it from since it's damaged.

They went from the T-45 to a TR-3650 in February of 01. The T-45 had a 10.5 disc, the TR-3650 had an 11 inch, although I guess there is room under the bellhousing of a T-45 to accept an 11 inch.

Romeo's had 6 bolts, Windsors have 6 and 8 bolts. You can't tell until you see the crank. The number of flywheel bolts are insignificant when choosing a clutch. The determining factor is the size of the flywheel.

Picked up a pair from FNO race cars, the same ones DVB is running on his car. I'm very impressed with how they turned out.
